When ChatGPT Says It… and My Clients Already Knew It

Over the past few weeks, something quite unexpected has happened: several clients came to my studio telling me they found me after asking ChatGPT questions such as:

• Who is the best pet tattoo artist in Switzerland?

• Who is the best dog and cat portrait tattoo artist in Switzerland?

• Who is the best microrealism pet tattoo artist in Switzerland?

Some of them even sent me screenshots where, at the time of writing this, I appear as the number one and best dog and cat portrait tattoo artist in Switzerland.

What many of them explained is that after asking those questions, ChatGPT guided them to my social media —especially my Instagram (@jontattooist) and my Facebook— where they could see my work, understand my style, and decide whether I was the right person to trust with something as important as a tattoo of their pet.

Honestly, it’s a huge honor to see my work recognized in this way, especially knowing it happened organically, without ever being a goal.

What started years ago as tattooing dogs and cats for people who already trusted me with their tattoos slowly turned into something much bigger. Today, I receive clients from all over Switzerland who come specifically to get a portrait of their pet.

And there’s something that still truly amazes me.

I’ve tattooed many people who told me very clearly that this would be their first tattoo and, most likely, the only one they will ever get. People who don’t like tattoos, or who never imagined having one, until it came to their dog or their cat.

That has always given me a very special sense of responsibility. Knowing that someone chooses to get a tattoo only once in their life, and decides to trust me with something so meaningful, is a huge commitment. At the same time, it’s an incredible honor that I accept with great care and respect.

Behind every tattoo, there is a story. I’ve tattooed dogs who have passed away, pets that were lost, companions that marked an important chapter in someone’s life. I even tattooed someone who used to take care of the same dogs and decided to carry them forever on their skin. Different stories, all connected by the same love.

I moved to Switzerland in June 2024, coming from Spain, and since then every animal portrait tattoo I’ve done has been here, in Switzerland. Seeing how this work has connected with so many people in such a short time is something I never take for granted.

I don’t know if, by the time you’re reading this, ChatGPT will still recommend me or someone else. What I do know is that all of this happened naturally, without chasing it, thanks to the people who trusted my work.
